“Miami is always a good idea”. It was nice to get away for a long weekend to escape the beginning of winter here in New York. Just give me a beach and I’m happy!
I stayed in South Beach for the first time in about 7 years! Last time I hung around South Beach I was 22 and partying during WMC. I definitely needed a vacation after that vacation WOOF! I also was there for Swim Week this past July (definitely a must if your into swimwear and fashion as much as I am) This time around I went to just relax, get a tan and eat some good food!
Since it’s still considered Fall/Winter even at 80 degrees, I figured I’d rock some velvet on the beach.
Last minute (as usual) I ordered these 2 cute ones from Forever 21. This burgundy lil number and gold high waisted below, were the perfect amount of sleaze for South Beach with a touch of holiday class.
Let’s talk food! One of my favorite restaurants in Miami is Cleo, located at the Redbury Hotel. I’m a big fan of Mediterranean food (100% Greek right here), I’ve been to a lot of places, but this restaurant has the most authentic food, and unique drinks, (the ones that taste so good you don’t realize how drunk your getting!), with a trendy atmosphere (luxury meets Cleopatra, decor goals).
I also love the fact that the portions are all tapas. I like to have a big spread on the table, so I can try everything! (Fat girl problems). I highly recommend the Baba gadoush. It’s amazing!
Next up: Miami is known for their Spanish cuisine, especially Cuban food, so obviously you can’t go there without having Margaritas (Spicy one for me!) and all that good stuff (aka anything with cheese, guac, salsa or all of the above). The most well known is Espanola Way. It’s such a cute lil village to walk to around in and hop from place to place. It’s full of European restaurants, everything from Spanish, Italian and French.
Hands down the best Greek restaurant in Miami is Santorini by Georgios in the Hilton Bentley Hotel. The food is so fresh and the restaurant is very low key and relaxing, kinda like the vibes of Greece.
I definitely recommend going at night and sitting by the pool. It’s all lit up and they always have a band or singer playing. Food-wise, the grilled octopus is my weakness, but the desert WOW! Best Tiramisu I ever had in my life! So light and fluffy! (I’m such a foodie).
I tried to incorporate Fall into my looks, even though it didn’t feel like it there. Whenever I don’t need to wear pants, I’m a happy girl!
Here I went for a comfy laid back vibe. This fringe sweater was easy breezy with a pair of my vintage levis and I added my Gucci slides and bag to dress it up.
Fell in love with this bodysuit when I bought it and was so happy that it had a little tropical flare that I could only wear on vacay. So it wouldn’t look too summery I paired it with a black denim skirt and booties, and a studded belt for a little edge.
